Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Which cookies GeoField GIS needs to operate, which additional cookies may be used and how to manage them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of data stored by a website in a user's browser. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, may also be used. They help maintain login sessions, protect forms and remember preferences.
2. Which categories may be used
| Category | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Authentication, session protection, CSRF, account functionality and security | Necessary to provide the requested service; consent is not always required |
| Functional | Interface language and display preferences | Depends on implementation and applicable law |
| Analytics | Website traffic and page usage statistics | Consent where required by law |
| Marketing | Advertising measurement and personalization | Prior consent where required by law |
3. Essential cookies
Session cookies and anti-CSRF tokens may be used for login and secure operation. Blocking them in your browser may prevent login or impair certain features.
4. Analytics and third-party tools
Google Analytics: analytics technologies may be used to measure website traffic and improve the site only after the relevant consent. Binotel Chat: a chat widget may be loaded on marketing pages to communicate with prospective customers, depending on the visitor's choice. Declining chat does not affect the core functions of GeoField GIS.
Google Search Console is used to analyze search visibility and does not require a separate cookie category merely because the site is verified.
5. How to manage cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Where optional cookies are used, the website must allow you to accept or reject them and change your choice later. Withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it.
Open Cookie settings to change your preferences. Withdrawing consent stops further loading of the relevant tools after the page is refreshed; removing third-party cookies already set may require clearing them in your browser.
6. Retention periods
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
geofield_cookie_consent_v1 (localStorage) |
GeoField GIS | Stores analytics and chat preferences | Until deleted by the user or the preferences version changes |
| Application session cookie | GeoField GIS | Authentication and secure sessions in the application | 120 minutes of inactivity under the current settings |
XSRF-TOKEN |
GeoField GIS | Protection against forged forms and requests | For the duration of the session |
7. Personal data and contact details
For more information about personal data processing, see the Privacy Policy. Send cookie-related questions to [email protected].
